Today was day two of my saw mill construction. Really excited that I will be able to cut up my wood safely so that it can go into the kiln to dry. This will ultimately help to reduce the amount of time I am spending planing the wood.
Before I found this idea I was cutting the logs into slices free hand with the chain saw (not one of my best talents - usually turned out pretty jagged to be fair). This was really hard work all round and took lots of time planing afterwards to get a level surface. I'm so glad that I found this idea. Now I just hope it works!
